The exhibition that gathered about 140 works done by homeless people is the result of a
project of the Pinacoteca, sponsored by Santander, entitled Program of Socio-cultural
Inclusion. The proposal was to develop the practice, perception and artistic reflection of
street dwellers. The participants - shelters - "Casa de Oração do Povo da Rua" and "Casa
Porto Seguro", both in the center of the city of São Paulo - participated in weekly
workshops, with various artistic modules such as collages and more elaborate techniques,
silk screen printing and woodcutting.
